Ame serves as the Child Find Coordinator for the San Juan Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), which is an Educational Cooperative that provides exceptional student services to students residing within eight rural school districts in the Southwest Colorado region. As Child Find Coordinator she is responsible for overseeing child find evaluation processes and coordinating preschool exceptional student services for young children in the region. She is very passionate about the inclusion of all children in early childhood education settings, and an advocate for equitable educational opportunities for all children and families in Southwest Colorado. Originally from Upstate New York, Ame relocated to Southwest Colorado over ten years ago to pursue a lifelong dream of living in a place where the sunshine is plentiful!
